Citrus County Democrats Adopt A Highway

Our 2026 fresh air walks!! Join your fellow Democrats for our cleanups this year on our adopted stretch of Lecanto Highway(491). This will be our 6th year! It's a great way to start the day and show Citrus County residents that Democrats care! After the cleanup(optional) we will meet at the Cattle Dog coffee shop on Novell Bryant(486) in Hernando for refreshments and conversation with like minded Democrats! Suggested attire: Long pants, socks and sneakers (no open toe shoes or sandals). We will meet at the College of Central Florida Campus parking lot (try to be early) and from there we will spread out along the 2 mile stretch of Lecanto Highway that we will be cleaning up. Orange safety vests and gloves (bring your own if you have them) will be provided. We have a limited number of grabbers so if you have one please bring that as well. If you have a few small plastic garbage bags please bring them. We have plenty of large plastic bags and some small ones. It's easier to fill the smaller bags and then empty them into the larger bags.
